If you or someone you know is having trouble paying for heat during the winter season, the Office of Energy and Planning Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) may be able to provide some relief.

Local Help
In just a few short months, Londonderry was able to raise over $24,000 and help over 40 families with heat this winter.
Only 24,000 people live in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The state has over 1 Million residents that we know would like to support neighbors and friends.

With the need to conserve, many New Hampshire citizens could create dangerous situations in their homes. Running the house too cold, bringing in propane heaters or a grill, without proper ventilation carbon monoxide poising will be the result. These are real possibilities facing our neighbors.

New Hampshire Warm Homes
Shortly following Londonderry Old Home Days, the committee for this organization met to wrap up the event until next year. The air was crisp and cool and the conversation was of the high cost of heating fuel this year. The concept of a program that provided funding with no government assistance to those in need began to form. It would be simple, a small board, a Chairperson and a Executive director all unpaid providing a way to collect donations and distribute them fairly.
One key to success was to have typical New Hampshire local control. The program seeks donations from those in the community and provides fuel directly to those in need in the community. Calls have come in from around New Hampshire and even across the nation from many looking for help this heating season.
We are looking for other community leaders to share our experience with. We will review with you our methodology, best practices, and share our technology. We are looking to open up our website WarmHomes.org to other groups in towns throughout New Hampshire. If you are interested please contact Kathy Wagner through our contact form. Or call the Warm Line at 603 232-9131 and she will call you back. Like the local program their will be no charge, 100% of the funds donated have gone to heating fuel. All of the products, services, and time of those interesting in helping is volunteer.
